STEVEN SEEGER was born in Hamburg in 1994. He received his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Lübeck in 2019. During his studies, he was particularly interested in medical imaging and biophysics. From 2019 to 2024, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Medical Engineering.

In 2024, he defended his dissertation entitled “Entwicklung und Charakterisierung eines dedizierten PET Prototyps für die in-vivo Bildgebung von adulten Zebrafischen und kleinen Wassertieren”

He has been working at the Isotope Laboratory since November 2024 and has served as its head since June 2026.
